Because of where the International Date Line falls, Alaska boasts the northernmost (Point Barrow), the easternmost (Pochnoi) Point on the Semisopochnoi Island in the Aleutians), and the westernmost (Amatignak Island in the Aleutians) points in the United States.

Susan Butcher. Susan is a four time champion of the famous Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race from Anchorage to Nome (1150 miles). She has also taken a team of dogs to the Summit of Mount McKinley.
