We have five copies of ‘Alabama Barbeque Delicious Road Trips’ - a guide to the state’s best BBQ joints - and five baseball caps to give away, to celebrate the launch of the new free Sweet Home Alabama BBQ Trail app.
To enter, just like the pinned competition post on our Facebook page here
and tell us what your favourite American BBQ dish is in the comments below!
Competition closes midday on Friday July 27; we’ll announce the winner here shortly after.
Alabama Travel’s new free BBQ Trail app
allows you discover the stories of Alabama’s best barbecue restaurants as you tuck into the state’s finest BBQ ribs, pulled pork and chicken wings.
On the app you’ll find details about the best BBQ restaurants in Alabama and get alerts when you’re near a spot you’ve got on your Wishlist.
You’ll also earn badges as you tick restaurants off your list - progressing from Piglet to Barbecue King – the highest accolade for barbecue lovers everywhere!
In the meantime, you can read about them too in ‘Alabama Barbeque Delicious Road Trips’. This fascinating insiders’ guide includes interviews with some of the state’s best pitmasters and some of their recipes.
Read about ‘Butts To Go in Pell City’, which is inside a Texaco petrol station and is open all day every day. Owner and pitmaster Wade Reich, pictured right, puts the ‘butts’ on in the afternoons, cooks chicken wings and ribs in the morning. Or find out the story of Sam Henderson of Sam’s Fayette, in Fayette. What Sam does better than anyone else is chicken wings.

Where to host your T&Cs
The best place to host the term and conditions is on your client’s website but that’s not always possible so here are a couple of alternative options:
Facebook is a great platform to host your T&C’s. If you are planning to use Facebook as part of your campaign, the Facebook ‘notes’ tab is ideal to host your competition T&C’s. You could add a link to your T&C’s from posts on other platforms or pin a Facebook post to the top of the Facebook page that promotes the competition and includes a link to the T&Cs.
