A full UK driver's license is required to hire a car in the USA. Drivers must be 21 or over - or 25+ with some companies.
The USA uses two-pin plugs so adaptors are required. Electrical goods bought in the USA may not work correctly in the UK.
Medical expenses are high in the USA so travel insurance with medical cover of at least £2million is recommended.
Tipping in the USA is the norm. As a minimum, tip 15% when dining in restaurants or $1 per drink in bars.
