St.Pete/Clearwater - The Dali Museum Brings Famed Surrealist to Life with AI

The Dali Museum continues to solidify its standing as a cultural touchstone for the destination by presenting an ongoing slate of special exhibitions to augment the remarkable permanent collection of art by the legendary Spanish surrealist.
On the 115th anniversary of Salvador Dali’s birth), The Dali Museum unveiled Dali Lives – a groundbreaking experience to celebrate his art and legacy. With the press of a button, museumgoers can now interact with AI-generated versions of the famous surrealist on a series of screens throughout the museum, and even snag a selfie as a souvenir! The digital Dali is programmed to communicate in engaging ways, whether he’s talking about his art or commenting on the Florida weather. The program uses 125 interactive videos and nearly 200,000 possible combinations, so no two visits are ever the same.
Farther out, The Dali will engage visitors while highlighting the complete collection of its popular “Masterworks” with a special exhibition,  Visual Magic: Dali’s Masterworks in Augmented Reality – from June-November 2019.  Viewing each Masterwork through the Dali Museum app on a mobile device, visitors see the paintings come to life, highlighting and exploring their complexities.
