Used by the artist and the likes of Madonna and REM to record and mix albums, it is now an active museum that is open to the public for concerts, festivals and special events. Tours are available five days a week all year. PUNK ROCK MUSEUM, LAS VEGAS Fans of punk rock can pogo their way through the history, fashion and culture of the style that took the music world by storm more than 45 years ago. The museum houses the biggest collection of punk artefacts, photographs, clothing, instruments, lyrics and artwork. Visitors can shred punk riffs on guitars donated by artists. SINGING THE BLUES At the National Blues Museum in St. Louis, Missouri, view exhibits then record your own blues song. Take the Mississippi Blues Trail to the Delta Blues Museum in Clarksdale, and visit Indianola’s BB King Museum and Delta Interpretive Centre. In Memphis, perhaps the “Home of the Blues”, visit the Blues Hall of Fame Museum. MUSIC ON THE STREETS, AUSTIN Austin is called the “Live Music Capital of the World” for good reason. Its 6th Street literally rocks with the sounds of live music of all genres coming from clubs, bars and restaurants. The city also offers plenty more music venues in other areas, notably Rainey Street, the Red River Cultural District and 2nd Street. ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME, CLEVELAND Rock on down to explore rock ‘n’ roll history and see memorabilia from some of music’s greats at 'Rock Hall'. Opened in 1995, it has been visited by 14 million people and displays over 50 exhibits and hosts live music.
