HEARST CASTLE, SAN SIMEON, CALIFORNIA Publishing tycoon William Randolph Hearst's castle-like estate, built in 1919, features 165 rooms with lavish furnishings. Also seen on the Grand Tour is an extensive art and antiques collection, centuries-old sculptures, paintings, tapestries — even an ancient Roman sarcophagus dating back to about 320 A.D.
