CHICAGO Chicago is famous as the home of the deep-dish pizza but restaurants across the Windy City can also rustle up exceptional cuisine. In total, 19 city eateries have Michelin stars. Two of them – creative restaurant Smyth and the experimental Alinea – hold the three-star rating. Two restaurants sport two stars. LOS ANGELES Foodies can choose from 26 restaurants with Michelin stars, with two awarded three stars. Hollywood’s Providence serves seafood that’s been wild-caught and sustainable, with vegetables grown on its rooftop garden pollinated by its own hive of bees.
