CAPE CRUSADE Operating since 1999, 40 years after regular passenger service was discontinued, the Cape Cod Central Railroad runs regular excursions from March to October on 27 miles of track on Cape Cod. Narrated excursions and lunch, brunch and dinner trains depart from Hyannis or Buzzards Bay, passing through sand dunes and salt marshes. Its two locomotives ran on the line in the 1950s and 1960s and some passenger cars date back to 1917. CANYON SPIRIT Canyon Spirit, rebranded from Rocky Mountaineer in the U.S. is expanding its Rockies to the Red Rocks service from Denver to Salt Lake City in April 2026. A new three-day train journey will include overnight stops in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, and Moab, Utah. It will travel weekly with one westbound departure from Denver and one eastbound departure from Salt Lake City.
