Explore Minnesota

Minnesota is a land of contrasts. Here you can follow the secluded canoe trails of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, or have a houseboat adventure in Voyageurs National Park. There are Northwoods golf and spa resorts around many of the over 11,000 lakes and the state also claims world class cities with internationally acclaimed arts, a thriving theater scene, award winning “Farm-to-Table” restaurants, and professional sports teams. Grand Portage and Pipestone National Monuments preserve the rich Ojibwe and Dakota American Indian and fur trapping heritage. Minnesota is also home to several top wildlife centers for education, the International Wolf Center and North American Bear Center in Ely and National Eagle Center in Wabasha. The Minneapolis and Saint Paul metropolitan area combines vibrant city with nature as they both offer spectacular views along the Mississippi River, lakes for boating, fishing and miles of biking and hiking trails. Internationally acclaimed rock, pop and country stars are featured at concert venues from stadium size to small stages in intimate cafes. Minnesota’s music scene is grounded by stars like Bob Dylan and Prince who began their musical careers in Minnesota. Paisley Park, Prince’s home and studio is open for tours and an annual Celebration honors his life and legacy every year. Mall of America, the largest shopping and entertainment complex in the country is located just 5 minutes from the MSP International Airport.
