With another summer season glistening on the horizon, Aspen and Snowmass Village are readying to welcome a wave of new openings, events and outdoor experiences.

New Hotels
The White Elephant Aspen will officially open its doors this June, just steps from Aspen’s charming downtown. Marking the Rocky Mountain debut of the celebrated Nantucket-based White Elephant Resorts, the new luxury property brings the brand’s signature blend of refined hospitality, understated elegance and boutique service to Aspen for the first time.
New Events
The inaugural Mountainside Music Festival will take place this summer with three days of free live music on Snowmass’s iconic Fanny Hill stage, celebrating the start of the summer season in true mountain style. Friday night will culminate in an 18-minute drone show marking both the 250th anniversary of American independence and Colorado’s 150th anniversary as a state. Free event.
The Colorado Brewery Running Series will return with a special anniversary edition of the Snowmass Tree-O, rebranded 1876 Centennial Run, marking 150 years of Colorado statehood and 250 years of American independence. Entry costs from £22 per person.
Tough Draw Tour: Bull Riding (21-22 August 2026) - Snowmass Village
Adding to Snowmass Village’s weekly summer rodeo programme, the brand-new Tough Draw Tour will bring professional bull riding to the Snowmass Rodeo Grounds. Ticket prices are still to be announced.
Anniversaries
Anderson Ranch Arts Center will celebrate 60 years as Snowmass Village’s leading creative institution, with a packed summer programme of workshops, lectures and events. Highlights will include the 2026 Summer Series: Featured Artists & Conversations (9 July-6 August) and Ranch Week (13-18 July).
35 years of Jazz Aspen Snowmass - Aspen & Snowmass Village
Jazz Aspen Snowmass will mark its 35th season, coinciding with the opening of the permanent Paul JAS Center world-class music venue at the conclusion of last year. Jazz Aspen Snowmass will celebrate this milestone with a full summer programme including the JAS June Experience (25-28 June) and the JAS Labour Day Experience (4-6 September) in Snowmass Town Park.
Infrastructure
Mountain biking will continue to define summer in Aspen and Snowmass Village, with the new Elk Camp Chairlift, which debuted during the winter season, set to double bike haul capacity at Snowmass Bike Park, significantly improving access across the mountain’s extensive trail network.

LoLa 41° will make its western US debut at White Elephant Aspen, bringing its acclaimed seafood and sushi menu to the Rockies alongside a new speakeasy lounge.
Slope & Hatch will celebrate its first summer season at The Collective Snowmass, serving inventive tacos and hot dogs in a laid-back setting.
Lift Line Tavern at Viceroy Snowmass will debut its first summer season with Colorado-inspired tavern dining, fire pit terraces and elevated après-style dishes by Chef Matt Zubrod.
