48 Hours in Birmingham, Alabama

Birmingham, Alabama, is a city with a lot of character, from its rich history to its fantastic food scene. If you’ve only got 48 hours to explore, don’t worry, you’re in for a treat. Let’s kick things off with a visit to the city’s original Iron Man, the famous Vulcan.

Getting to Birmingham is a breeze, from Atlanta it’s just a short flight or a quick drive of under two hours. The city also sits along Amtrak’s Crescent route, linking New York City and New Orleans. When it comes to places to stay, Birmingham has plenty to offer, from fancy resorts on golf courses to more budget friendly spots downtown.

Day 1

9:00 AM - Vulcan Park and Museum
