5 Reasons to Visit Hawaii

Five Reasons to Visit the 50th State

The Aloha Spirit

The Islands have a gentle and unique culture unlike any other in the USA, and it’s something we encourage all visitors to experience. Whether that’s catching a hula show, experiencing a lūʻau ( a traditional dinner and cultural showcase), taking in an island festival, learning how to make a lei, or simply to sit and ‘Talk Story’ with a local, we invite our visitors to come away enriched, fulfilled and with a better appreciation, and love, of our islands and their people.

A mix of City & Serenity

The perfect combination. By recommending a few days in the bustling capital of Honolulu on Oʻahu which offers incredible shopping, nightlife, top hotels & resorts , and of course the world famous Waikīkī beach, combined with a more relaxing stay at a beautiful resort on either Maui, Kauaʻi or Hawaiʻi Island, which all offer a quieter pace of life with outdoor activities, beaches, local markets and fewer crowds, you can give your customers the best of both worlds.

A fascinating history

Hawaiʻi is the only US State to have once had a Royal Family and their incredible legacy lives on today through festivals, museums and palaces such as the Iolani Palace in Honolulu and the Merry Monarch festival on Hawaiʻi Island. In more recent times, Pearl Harbour offers a moving and spellbinding look at the events that brought the USA into World War II.

Incredible nature & wildlife

The Hawaiian Islands are a nature lovers paradise. Among other things, visitors can go whale watching, bird watching, snorkel with Manta rays, spot turtles from their hotel or hike in one of the many spectacular National Parks.

Mālama

Mālama means ‘to care for’ or ‘to give back’ and it’s at the core of how the Hawaiian people treat their environment believing that if you care for the land, it will in turn, care for you. We encourage all visitors to Mālama while they are in Hawaiʻi and they can do this in many ways. They could visit one of the many local festivals or events, shop locally at farmers markets, buy locally made or sourced gifts and souvenirs, take part in a volunteer activity or one of the many cultural activities available at hotels and resorts. Maui in particular, is in need of Mālama following the terrible fires that destroyed the beautiful town of Lahaina and which affected so many. Maui is excited to give respectful and responsible visitors a very warm welcome back to the island. Tourism is vitally important to Maui’s economy and recovery so we do encourage you to let your clients know Maui is open and can’t wait to give warm aloha to visitors.
