Incredible nature & wildlife
The Hawaiian Islands are a nature lovers paradise. Among
other things, visitors can go whale watching, bird watching, snorkel with Manta
rays, spot turtles from their hotel or hike in one of the many spectacular
National Parks.
Mālama
Mālama means ‘to care for’ or ‘to give back’ and it’s at the
core of how the Hawaiian people treat their environment believing that if you
care for the land, it will in turn, care for you. We encourage all visitors to
Mālama while they are in Hawaiʻi
and they can do this in many ways. They could visit one of the many local
festivals or events, shop locally at farmers markets, buy locally made or
sourced gifts and souvenirs, take part in a volunteer activity or one of the
many cultural activities available at hotels and resorts. Maui in particular,
is in need of Mālama following the terrible fires that destroyed the beautiful
town of Lahaina and which affected so many. Maui is excited to give respectful
and responsible visitors a very warm welcome back to the island. Tourism is
vitally important to Maui’s economy and recovery so we do encourage you to let
your clients know Maui is open and can’t wait to give warm aloha to visitors.
