In North Alabama there’s “It’s
A Dickens Christmas Y’all” which has been a tradition for over 11 years and
takes place in the historic downtown of Tuscumbia – just think milk, cookies
and trolley ride and you’ll get all the festive vibes.
The spirit of the season
shines during Smoky Mountain Christmas at Dollywood. It’s been voted America’s
Best Christmas Event for more than a decade as the skies are full of more than
6-million twinkling lights and award-winning shows full of Christmas cheer –
and Dolly cheer too!
A holiday tradition among
local businesses in Cleveland, Mississippi is 50 Nights Of Lights. There are
over 100,000 lights that transform the area into a winter wonderland. The trail
is open from mid-November until early January and a great way to do some local
shopping while exploring the area too.
If you’re
travelling across Louisiana from November until January, you can enjoy
festivities among seven different areas. The Holiday Trail of Lights has
beautiful displays of Christmas lights, parades, live music, and theatre
performances. The Louisiana
Holiday Trail of Lights is eight cities in north Louisiana - Shreveport,
Bossier City, Minden, Monroe, West Monroe, Natchitoches and Alexandria &
Pineville.
