Disneyland California

Disneyland California is where the Disney theme park story began. Opened by Walt Disney in 1955, it’s the only Disney park he saw completed, and it still has a charm all of its own.
Today the Disneyland Resort has two parks side by side, so you can walk from one to the other in minutes. Disneyland Park is the classic experience, with Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, U.S.A. and favourites such as Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Across the plaza, Disney California Adventure is home to Cars Land, Pixar Pier and Avengers Campus, with the World of Color fountain show lighting up the lagoon at night. Three or four park days is ideal for a first visit, and the resort is only around 25 miles from Los Angeles, making it easy to combine with Hollywood, Universal Studios and the beaches.
Seasonal celebrations add extra magic, from Halloween Time in autumn to festive decorations from mid-November.
Charter Travel’s California 10 night Disneyland Holiday brings it all together. You get direct flights from London with Delta or Virgin Atlantic, five nights at the Hilton Anaheim near the parks, and 4-Day Park Hopper tickets for the whole family. That’s followed by five nights at The Garland in Los Angeles, with car hire included. Prices start from £1,795 per person, based on two adults and two children travelling in May 2027.
