10 of our favourite urban RV parks.

1. Marin RV Park, CA. This great campground is on the sunny side of San Francisco bay just a few miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. You can access the city very easily by bus or ferry that takes you right into downtown.
2. Campland on the Bay, CA. This campground sits on the stunning Mission Bay but also with great access to all that San Diego has to offer including the world-famous zoo and the iconic ‘Top Gun’ bar in downtown.
3. Circus Circus Campground, NV. Park up here and be situated in the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino. You could take in one of the many Cirque Du Soleil shows or just wonder up and down the strip and take your pick from the endless activities on offer.
4. Rancho Sedona, AZ This shaded campground is within walking distance of the beautiful city of Sedona. You can visit the restaurants, galleries and shops of downtown or in the summer even swim in the beautiful Oak Creek.
5. Hacienda RV resort, NM. This little campground is within walking distance of the historic ‘Old Mesilla’ where Billy and his outlaws used to hangout and also close to where he was imprisoned and sentenced.
6. French Quarter RV Park, LA. This little campground is right in the middle of the wonderful and eccentric, New Orleans. From here you can easily walk to Bourbon Street and Jackson Square and the world-famous music and nightlife this city has to offer.
7. Memphis Graceland RV Park, TN. Any visit to the Deep South is likely to involve a visit to Memphis and Graceland. This RV park is just a few minutes’ walk from the Elvis’s home. Whilst in Memphis you can make your way downtown to Beale Street for your fill of all things Blues music.
8. Boyd’s Key West Campground, FL. This oceanfront campground sits just a few minutes from the Caribbean feeling city of Key West down in the Florida Keys. The nightlife of Duval Street is on your doorstep or plenty of water-based activities including diving and deep-sea fishing is readily available.
9. Cherry Hill Park, MD. This family run campground is great for visiting Washington DC. Within the campground, there is plenty to do including a splash park and 18-hole mini golf but the proximity to the city is their greatest asset. Some guided tours even depart from their on-site bus depot.    
10. Liberty Harbor RV Park, NJ. You can even visit New York City by staying at this little campground. The city is accessible by train or harbor ferries that depart from outside the campground and into the heart of Manhattan in 15 minutes.
