When you begin planning your destination wedding in Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach, here’s what you need to know:
As an out-of-state visitor, your wedding license will be issued instantly and is good for 60 days
Both members of the couple must apply for the license in person, at either the County Administration Building in Port Charlotte or the Justice Center in Punta Gorda
A boat wedding must be conducted in Florida waters; if you use a charter company, they’ll ensure the location. The captain may even be available to perform the ceremony!
