10 of our favourite family campgrounds

1) Disney Fort Wilderness. Lake Buena Vista, FL
Its Disney! This beautiful campground offers all the great facilities of a Disney hotel. Including shuttle bus, magic hour and the opportunity to toast marshmallows at the campfire & watch Disney films under the stars.
2) Yosemite Pines RV park. Groveland, CA 
A perfect place from which to explore Yosemite. Whilst at the campground, the children can enjoy time in the large swimming pool or at the petting farm feeding the friendly Alpacas!  
3) Hickory Hill Family Camping Resort. Bath, NY 
This is the place for kids that want to do something different every minute of the day! From laser tag, to mini-golf and disc golf, there is always something they can try their hand at.  
4) American Heritage RV park. Williamsburg, VA
Great for families who want to learn about American History (at nearby historic Williamsburg) Whilst back at the park, the children will love to play on the world’s largest inflatable waterslide!  
5) Yogi Bear in the Smokies. Cherokee, NC
If you are looking for a ‘great outdoors’ RV campground, you won’t go wrong here. Set in the heart of the Smokey Mountains, you can hike, swim and even tube down the river. Oh, and hang out with Yogi bear.
6) Ventura Ranch KOA. Ventura, CA
This place has something for everyone. From the longest campground zipline in the country to a rock climbing wall & movie nights under the stars. All just an hour from LA and 15 minutes to the beach.  
7) Ocean Lakes Family Campground. Myrtle Beach, SC
If you want big with 310 oceanfront acres and nearly one mile of beachfront this place has it in spades. It has its own ‘Family fun’ centre with large swimming pool & water park with tubes slides and lazy river.  
8) Mount Rushmore KOA. Palmer Gulch, SD
If you are looking for a wild west family adventure, you can ride horses, rent bikes or jump in a covered wagon and head out for an authentic Chuck Wagon Dinner show. At certain times of the year they have their own rodeo!  
9) Zion River Resort. Virgin, UT 
Even with the mighty Zion NP just on your doorstep, this park has plenty to offer for families. From the beautiful large outdoor pool to the mining sluice where everyone in the family has the chance to mine for real gemstones!  
10) Pinon Flats Campground. Great Sand Dunes National Park, CO
How about the tallest sand dunes in North America! Rent sleds nearby for sandboarding or for younger children, some sandcastle building, or you could splash around in Medano creek.
