Cruise America's Insight Series

Bryce Canyon has some of the most unique rock formations found in the world! Within its 55,992 sq. miles, you’ll find landscape you don’t want to miss.
- FUN FACTS –
*Bruce Canyon was designated as a national park in 1928
*Though it’s called a canyon, Bryce Canyon is actually a series of natural rock formations of about a dozen natural amphitheatres that extend more than 20 miles north-to-south.
*In most places in the United States, you can only see about 2,500 stars in the night sky. At Bryce Canyon, however, you can see as many as 7,500 on a clear night.
What is the best time to visit the Park?
Winter: Despite the below-freezing temperatures, winter is incredibly beautiful at Bryce Canyon. Snow is scattered over the evergreen tree and rock formations and the air is crisp and the sun is usually out.
Spring: Wildflowers are in bloom this time of the year making the area alive with vibrant colour.
Summer: This is the busiest time of the year. You can expect busy trails and full campgrounds.
Autumn: If you’d like to avoid crowds as well as heavy snow, this is a great time to visit.
Where to Stay?
North Campground-
Located just to east of the Visitors Centre with your-round amenities.
Sunset Campground -
Located just west of Sunset Point, this site is open late April to the end of October.
Ruby’s Inn RV & Campground -
Just half a mile from the park entrance, this is a great location if you want a full service campground with hookups.
Things to Do
 Take a hike -
Bryce is full of scenic hikes found nowhere else on earth.
Attend a Night Sky Program-
Bryce Canyon is the ultimate place to learn about and enjoy the splendour of the night sky. Far from the light pollution of civilization, protected by a special force of park rangers/
Head Out for a Drive-
One of the best ways to see the entire park is to take the 38-mile scenic drive, which takes about three hours to complete.
