Cruise America's Insight Series

The arches may give this park its name, and they are jaw-dropping, but Arches National Park has so much more to offer! From delicate pinnacles and towering spires to twisted rock formations.
- FUN FACTS –
*Arches National Park has the greatest density of arches in the world. There are over 2,000 arches and windows in the 76,359 acres of Arches.
*Arches National Park’s highest elevation is 5,653 feet at elephant butte, and the lowest elevation is at the visitor center, which is 4,085 feet.
*Landscape Arch is the longest arch in the Arches at over 300 feet in length, and Double Arch, at 144 feet tall, is the tallest.
What is the best time to visit the Park?
Winter: If you’re willing to brave the cold, you can see the arches and amazing rock formations without the crowds.
Spring: Spring is very popular. Most of the over 1.65 million visitors will flock to the area at the beginning of March.
Summer: It can be very hot in the summer but Arches still attracts plenty of visitors.
Autumn: Fall is another very popular time to visit. Temperatures begin to cool until October.
Where to Stay?
Devils Garden Campground  - The only campground in the park with just 20 spots is stunning so you must book early to secure a reservation.

What to do at Arches?

Stargaze at night – Take advantage of the low level of light pollution that makes this park a top spot for looking into the heavens.
