Cruise America's Insight Series

Are you ready for some of the best ski mountains in the country, numerous species of wildlife, and incredible, scenic views? Jackson Hole is the place to visit!
- FUN FACTS –
*The US Voyager II Spacecraft launched in 1977 to explore the solar system contains a photograph of Jackson Hole as part of its artifacts cargo.
*More than 60 species of mammals, 100 species of birds, and a half-dozen types of fish live in the Jackson Hole/Yellowstone area.
*Whitewater rafting is thought to have been invented in 1811 on the Snake River in Jackson.
What is the best time to visit the Park?
Winter:  At 6,237 feet above sea level, this ski resort oasis is widely known for its freezing winter temperatures. Even more, Jackson Hole gets more than 500 inches of snow each year!
Spring: Springtime can be comfortable and warm; it is also prone to extremely unpredictable weather that can reach near-freezing temperatures.
Summer: This is the busiest time of the year and the weather is dry and mild, making it perfect for camping
Autumn: Comfortable hiking weather though early snowstorms are possible. September and October offer the most consistent weather conditions.
Where to Stay?
Jackson Hole RV Park at Fireside Resort - This resort has large sites with old-growth shade trees, campfire rings, picnic tables, and full hook-ups.
KOA RV Campground - The campground sits on level ground for easy accessibility and gravel site pads. Uniformly spread trees provide sufficient shade from the glaring sun during summer days.
What to do In Jackson Hole?
Yellowstone National Park: In 1872, Yellowstone’s two-million acres became the first national park. You won’t want to miss the hydrothermal and geological wonders of this incredible location!
Grand Teton National Park: This national park is the perfect spot for nature-lovers. Complete with exceptional wildlife, crystal lakes, and alpine terrain.
Elevated Ballooning: Take a private balloon ride and see for yourself the amazing natural wonders of Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton.
