"The Loneliest Road in America", with Bon Voyage

In July 1986, Life magazine described Nevada's Highway 50 from Ely to Fernley as the " Loneliest Road in America". The reporter said there were no attractions or points of interest along the 287 mile ribbon of road and recommended that drivers have "survival skills" to travel the route! But Nevadans knew better. Highway 50 is wide and open - but it's also one of the state's most scenic and historic corridors.
Journey along this route and you'll encounter quirky characters, charming towns and hidden gems. If you're a traveller rather than tourist, this road is made for you! Enjoy.
Check out our Nevada fly-drive holiday that includes not only "America's Loneliest Road", but also, the eerie Extra-terrestrial Highway.
