Assateague
State Park, Maryland

famous by the wild ponies that roam about Assateague and
nearby Chincoteague, this site on the Maryland shore has beautiful beaches and
stunning wetlands, all of which can be seen from most of the more than 300
campsites. The rangers at Assateague are helpful and knowledgeable, and they
can direct you to the best places to view wildlife, take nature walks or go
boating or fishing. For those who want amusement parks, restaurants and
nightlife, Assateague is less than 10 miles away from Ocean City.
