Walt Disney World: What’s new for 2022

The biggest announcement Walt Disney World have made for 2021 and 2022 is the celebration of their 50th Anniversary or “The World’s Most Magical Celebration!” alongside new decorations, gold character statues and new shimmering, EARidescent character fashions there will also be new attractions debuting!   Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is confirmed to open at EPCOT and will be a family-friendly 3D non-track experience rumoured to have guests shrinking down to Remy’s size and scurrying around the restaurants of Paris. Both Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (a Marvel themed roller coaster) at EPCOT and TRON Lightcycle Run (a roller coaster behind Space Mountain) at Magic Kingdom are both set to open during Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary spectacular but are likely to be between mid-2022 and/or early 2023.
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is also available for any Florida holidays interactive experience where guests will board the Starcruiser Halcyon for 2 nights and interact with the on-board residents, dine in the on-board amazing restaurant and even take planetary day excursions to Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!   Journey of Water Inspired by Moana is another attraction set to open at EPCOT late-2022 and will feature a magical water maze where guests can interact with living water in a beautiful and enchanting setting. Disney Springs is also seeing some new additions in 2022, such as the new ice-cream parlour “Salt & Straw” and the award-winning Orlando Bakery “Gideon’s Bakehouse” which is actually already open!
