New Museum Celebrates Utah’s Story

A new museum dedicated to preserving Utah’s cultural heritage has opened at the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City, offering visitors free access to more than 900 historic artifacts and exhibits.

The Museum of Utah features a diverse collection spanning Utah’s past and present, including the state’s first official flag and a range of culturally significant items, from historical artifacts to pieces of pop culture memorabilia.

Four permanent galleries take visitors on a jounrey across the stae:

Becoming Utah: The history and cultures of Utah

Building Utah: Utah's industries and infrastructure

Connecting Utah: Community and culture across Utah

Inspiring Utah: The state’s innovations and achievements
