Oregon's Silverton Christmas Market

The Silverton Christmas Market offers a rare opportunity to experience the beloved traditions of a European Christmas Market, right here in the Pacific Northwest.
Rooted in German heritage, the open-air Silverton Christmas Market brings centuries-old customs to life. The Silverton Christmas Market transforms the Oregon Garden Resort into a storybook German-style Weihnachtsmarkt, complete with more than 1.5 million lights, snowless tubing, and visits from Santa. Running from November 21 to December 31, 2025 (open most dates), this award-winning event blends Pacific Northwest coziness with German traditions.
Enjoy glühwein and hot cocoa in collectible mugs, an intimate walking trail glittering with lights, live music, and a family-friendly Biergarten. What sets the Silverton Christmas Market apart is its commitment to authentic German traditions and community spirit. Visitors can browse artisan vendor booths for German imported nutcrackers, smokers and glass ornaments, alongside gifts and crafts from local Oregon makers, and sample German foods such as lebkuchenherzen, stollen, roasted nuts, hand-breaded schnitzel sandwiches, fondue, and more. Their Krampus display nods to the darker side of German lore, while on-site overnight packages – complete with fireplaces, breakfast and access to the lights even on market-closure nights – make it easy to turn a visit into a winter getaway. It’s a one-of-a-kind winter escape that pairs European holiday nostalgia with the charm and hospitality of small-town Oregon.
