LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is preparing to launch Galacticoaster, the world’s first indoor, family-friendly space-themed coaster, in early 2026. As the largest investment in the Resort’s history, this innovative attraction promises a thrilling, out-of-this-world experience for guests of all ages. More details will be shared soon, but families can already look forward to adding Galacticoaster to their must-do list next year.
Walt Disney World is set to unveil exciting new experiences across its parks in 2026. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will be reimagined as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, combining high-energy thrills with Muppet-style fun. It will also unveil “The Magic of Disney Animation” in 2026, a new family friendly experience inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios and the Emmy-winning short film, “Once Upon a Studio.”. At Magic Kingdom Park, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad returns with upgraded tracks, enhanced effects, and fresh story elements. Over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Zootopia: Better Together will debut in the Tree of Life Theater, replacing It’s Tough to Be a Bug! with a 4D show designed for family-friendly entertainment and a cool escape from the sun.
Old Town Entertainment District in Kissimmee celebrates 40 years in 2026! Since 1986, this classic Florida destination has brought vintage charm, entertainment and family fun to millions of visitors. Join the celebration as Old Town marks this exciting milestone with special events and nostalgic experiences.
ACTIVITIES
The first-ever Florida Children’s Book Festival will be held 20-22 February 2026, at Orlando Family Stage, in partnership with Writer’s Block Bookstore. This three-day celebration invites families to enjoy storytime readings, hands-on creative activities, author signings, character meet-and-greets, and engaging panels that bring beloved books to life.
Opera Orlando unveils its early 2026 MainStage lineup at Steinmetz Hall, located within the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The season opens with Silent Night (Feb. 6 & 8), a multilingual opera by Kevin Puts and Mark Campbell, followed by Franz Lehár’s The Merry Widow (24 & 26 April). The celebration concludes with A Decade of Divas (16 May), a special concert marking Opera Orlando’s 10th anniversary. All performances will feature English and Spanish translations projected above the stage.
Build-A-Bear Workshop is set to open a new multi-level flagship store at ICON Park in 2026. The location will feature the classic “make-your-own” experience along with new interactive and personalized elements designed to engage guests of all ages.
