Aer Lingus has strengthened its ties with American Airlines by further expanding their codeshare agreement, a move which allows customers to book more transatlantic flights via both airlines’ websites.
Under the agreement, customers can now purchase flights with Aer Lingus or American Airlines between Dublin-Philadelphia and Dublin-Chicago.
This closer links increase the travel options for travellers flying from the UK to the U.S., with Are Lingus, with improved flexibility on transatlantic routes.
The codeshare arrangement between the two airlines, which launched last year, currently enables Aer Lingus customers to book direct flights from Dublin to Charlotte in North Carolina and Dallas-Fort Worth in Texas with American Airlines via aerlingus.com.
Customers travelling with Aer Lingus can also book codeshare connecting travel with American Airlines to destinations such as Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nashville, Tennessee, Dallas-Fort Worth, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Portland, (Oregon), San Jose, Tampa, and Tucson.
Aer Lingus will operate 19 transatlantic routes in 2024 from Dublin and Shannon and a further three transatlantic routes from Manchester, UK to North America and the Caribbean.
