Park City, Utan concludes its 2020/21 winter ski season

On April 11th 2021, Park City, Utah successfully completed its operations for winter ski season 2020-21 which began for skiers and snowboarders in November, just before Thanksgiving.
Of course, this winter was different to any other and special precautions were taken to ensure guest and employee safety. Unlike any other year, skipasses had to be bought in advance online and the number of people skiing on any given day was strictly controlled. Social distancing was observed on chairlifts and gondolas with middle seats left unoccupied, similar to airlines. Park City, located amid the grandeur of the Wasatch Mountains, is blessed with two world class ski resorts, Deer Valley and Park City Mountain, the latter being the biggest ski resort in the USA. As fewer skiers were enjoying the slopes each day, those who were lucky enough to be there enjoyed an enhanced experience with more space than ever on the ski runs.
Away from the slopes, three new hotels opened this winter, each unique in its own way. In Park City AC by Hilton opened its first hotel in a North American ski town. At Canyons Village (Park City Mountain), close to the base ski-lifts, the first YotelPad in a ski area opened its doors. In Deer Valley the much anticipated Goldener Hirsch Residences began welcoming guests eager to experience sheer luxury by the slopes at Silver Creek.
Off the mountain, life in Park City's bustling Historic District carried on, while observing the norms of hygiene, face coverings and social distancing. The Historic District is Park City's beating heart, with the area enjoying fame for its restaurants, bars, boutiques, art galleries and much more. Although the number of skiers on the mountains was limited, Park City was a draw for skiers and non-skiers alike, as long as they were resident in the USA (sadly, no overseas visitors for now). Many non-skier activities are offered including – believe it or not – fly fishing.
Next season, it is hoped that international visitors will once again grace the ski slopes and town, as well as getting their first look at Salt Lake City's brand new International Airport. Park City is a world class, all season mountain town, located just 35 minutes from Salt Lake City's airport.
