Stay Arlington announces Top Tips for Spring 2019

Northern Virginia’s Arlington is located just across the Potomac River, minutes from Washington, D.C., and with 45 hotel accommodation options, which are on average, 20% cheaper than downtown D.C., staying in Arlington is the ideal base to welcome in spring this year.
Here are some of the not-to-be-missed events happening in Arlington this spring, along with some expert Top Tips:
National Cherry Blossom Festival, 30 March – 13 April 2019
This annual festival celebrates the arrival of the Cherry Blossoms into the Capital Region, which were a gift from Japan to highlight the enduring friendship between the two countries. The festival takes place along the National Mall and around the Tidal Basin and is packed with fun-filled events and parades.
Top Tip: Enjoy panoramic views of the festival from the top of Arlington’s new CEB Observation Tower (prices from £16 per adult and £8.50 per child).
Memorial Day at Arlington National Cemetery, 27 May 2019
Honour lives lost through combat at Arlington National Cemetery and experience the National Memorial Day Parade and Concert. A major service will be held at the Memorial Amphitheatre and visitors will be moved by the full honour wreath laying at The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Top Tip: Experience the last ever Rolling Thunder, the world’s largest single-day motorcyclist events with over one million participants paying respects to those fallen.
