Southern Maryland is where it all began back in 1634, when 140 Europeans arrived to settle the colony at St. Mary’s City that would become Maryland. Today it is also renowned for the best bass fishing on the East Coast.
Maryland’s Eastern Shore is home to the state’s famed blue crabs, fresh from the Chesapeake Bay. Spend a day sailing or kayaking on the bay and discover this region’s alluring history and scenery.
