California National Park Road Trip

Beginning in Los Angeles you can visit LA highlights like Rodeo Drive and Universal Studios Hollywood, before driving out to Santa Barbara. From here you can visit the iconic Santa Monica Pier, the beaches of Malibu, and the Channel Islands National Park. The Channel Islands National Park are the ‘Galapagos of North America’ and home to diverse marine wildlife and amazing trails to hike up. After Santa Barbara you can travel up the Pacific Coast Highway to Big Sur- along the way why not stop at Pismo Beach to the admire the view. The Big Sur section of the Pacific Coast Highway is one of the most iconic coastal landscapes in the world, not just California.

After spending the night in the Big Sur Lodge, why not continue on to Monterey where you can visit the amazing Monterey Bay Aquarium before driving around Monterey Bay to Santa Cruz and check-in to your hotel. From Santa Cruz you can visit the State Park, Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, and gaze up at the California Redwood Trees. From Santa Cruz you can begin your journey inland to Yosemite National Park, home to amazing landmarks like Half Dome, El Capitan, Yosemite Valley, and Yosemite Falls. After visiting Yosemite National Park, it’s time to drive back to San Francisco where you can visit landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island before flying home.
